Parent Education
West Auckland Parents Centre offers a range of courses, which aim to assist parents with the various ages and stages of their children, all designed to suit the changing needs of your growing family. Each class has an invited speaker who is knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics as well as a class host from the West Auckland Parents Centre Committee.
Courses are generally held at the Kelston Community Centre, Cnr Awaroa and Great North Roads, Kelston.
You can attend any or all sessions of any course. Places are limited so book early – please see the course calendar.
In addition to our Childbirth Education Packages, West Auckland Parents Centre is currently offering the following courses:
Baby & You
This four part daytime course covers the essentials for you and your new baby: sleeping, settling, feeding, baby massage, coping with a changed lifestyle, and child development. Partners or helpers are welcome to attend.

Parenting with Purpose
This programme has been created to encourage parents/caregivers and key support people to look at how they parent, where they learnt their parenting skills and are they the most productive skills to use when raising children.
